Cartoon Movie 2023 focused on Ukrainian animation with its headliner MAVKA. THE FOREST SONG, produced by Animagrad (FILM.UA Group), which started its international path at this very spot back in 2017. This year, MAVKA was back in Bordeaux with a completed film just days before its wide theatrical release across France and after opening weekend in Ukraine, where it set record-breaking domestic box office results.

Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group) unveils a star-studded voice cast for the Ukrainian version of MAVKA. THE FOREST SONG animated feature film in a special video. It features Kateryna Osadcha, Nina Matvienko, Nazar Zadniprovskiy, Oleg Skrypka, Oleg Fagot Mykhailyta, musicians of the ethno band DakhaBrakha and Serhiy Prytula, whose acting career ended following his work on MAVKA.

Myrnyi-21 directed by Akhtem Seitablaiev is a story of resistance at the Luhansk border base in 2014 when its fighters fought against the russian sabotage groups. The release was scheduled for April 2022, on the Day of the Ukrainian border guard, but finally, it will happen on February 22, 2023.
