15.05 - FILM.UA Distribution signed a contract with MigFilm company for selling "Angels of War", "Kasym" and "Inseparable" to Germany and Austria and the German-speaking area of Switzerland. These movies have also been sold to the UK during MIPTV.

The events in the film take place against the backdrop of one of the largest man-made disasters of the past century - the Chernobyl accident. 22.03 - Docudramas «Jules Verne. A life long journey» and «Free energy of Tesla» (co-produced by Ukrainian companies FILM.UA and Signal Red) were short-listed for an international festival WorldFestHouston, which will take place April 12-21 in Houston, USA. The projects aim to win one of the four awards: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Results will be announced April 20 during the ceremony.
22.03 - During the FILMART, which was held in Hong Kong from 18 to 21 March, company FILM.UA Distribution has signed an agreement with the Thai company on selling TV and DVD rights for the military series: Angels of War, Black Sheep, Inseparable, The Bomber, Kasym, Werewolf Hunt, Special Dispatch, Werewolf's Jurisdiction. Also, home video rights (DVD, Blu-Ray, VoD) for Angels of War and Black Sheep were acquired by a Japanese company. Negotiations continue with companies from China, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore on acquiring the content from FILM.UA's catalogue.

27.02 - According to TNS Media Research, published in "Telescope” (№ 8, 2013), series "Chapay" (co-production FILM.UA, Central Partnership and FAVORITE-FILM) entered TOP 10 popular programs among Russians (age 4+) on the week of February 11, 2013. Premiere of a 12-episode war drama took place on First Channel (Russia) on February 13 at 21:30 (GMT), and the first day of the broadcast collected a share of 18.9%, which allowed it to become a leader.
6.02 - According to the results of 2012, most popular films of on-line cinema MEGOGO.NET are: cartoon about Luntik, film about a dead broke billionaire from Manhattan "Cosmopolis” and "Bachelorette". It is noteworthy that TOP 10 most popular films included three animated series. "The Adventures of Luntik and His Friends" - children's cartoon created by the Russian animation studio "Mill". Rights to use the images of "Mill’s" animated characters acquired Ukrainian company GOOD POINTS, a member of FILM.UA Group.

14.01 - A very special gift for the New Year's holiday for us was the gratitude of the UNICEF fund in Ukraine, signed by Yukie Mokuo. This fall, a presentation of the video that FILM.UA and Signal RED specially created for the 15th anniversary of UNICEF in Ukraine took place. Except for the video presentation, children's party was organized at the studio.
10.01 - Ukrainian cinemas launched a film on the novel by Yann Martel - "Life of Pi". The film was dubbed in Ukrainian by POSTMODERN, which recording studios are located on FILM.UA Studio. Ukrainian dubbing was recognized by philologists experts for the fidelity of the translation.
20.12 - FILM.UA Distribution signed a contract with "Seventh Channel" (Kazakhstan) on the sale of 20 items from the catalog. The parties agreed to transfer the rights to broadcast films such as "Way out" (2008), "The Thaw" (2008), "Things happen for a reason" (2008), as well as the series "European escort" (2003) and "By the law" ( 2010) - and this is not a complete list.

28.11 - FILM.UA Studio is a complex, which allows organizing shooting of large-scale projects with comfort and little effort. We’ve already told you about the most modern pavilion in Ukraine, about retro-car park, costume and props departments. And now, not far from the pavilion complex, within Kiev, a new shooting location has settled. An authentic village with wooden houses, gates, well and with a boat in one of the yards. Backlot has a private lake and is surrounded by a hedge that with the arrival of spring will please the eye with green leaves and bright colors.
21.11 - For the third year, the Independent Association of Broadcasters (IAB) together with FILM.UA hold a festival KINOMEDIA - a non-profit film festival about the principles of newspaper reporters, journalists, broadcasters, PR practitioners and others who write, shoot, talk and work in the field of media.
31.10 - FILM.UA and Signal RED shoot a TV biopic about the artist Leonardo da Vinci. The crew works in Lviv and Kiev, where finds places, accordant to the Renaissance. The role of the young maestro da Vinci is performed by an actor Kirill Maykut.

3.10 - Military mini-series «Angels of War», co-production of FILM.UA and Wise Vision (Director - Tetiana Khodakivska), has entered competitive category «Feature programme – TV film and TV series» at International TV Festival Bar. The festival will be held from October 22 to 26 in Bar, Montenegro, and director of the series Tatiana Khodakovskaya was invited to visit it. We remind you that in 2009, the mini-series «Black Sheep» was also nominated in the category «Feature programme – TV film and TV series».
18.09 - a semi-final of the American television award Emmy took place at FILM.UA Studio. The authoritative jury viewed and voted for the films of the competition program in the cinema «Pravda». Emmy is the television equivalent of the «Oscar» (for film), the award «Grammy» (for music) and the award «Tony» (for theater).
11.09 - FILM.UA decided to support talented students - future film and television directors. According to the commission, it was decided to give FILM.UA scholarship to three best students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th courses of KNU named after Karpenko-Kary.
31.08 - nominees of Seoul International Drama Awards were announced. Yesterday, August 30, at the awards ceremony at the National Theater of Korea mini-series "The Bomber" received Special Prize for facilitating cross-cultural exchange. In addition, the film struggled in the mini-series category with such strong contestants as "The Underground Empire", "Sherlock 2", "Great Expectations". Also, director of the series Vitaly Vorobyov was shortlisted in the category "Best Director".
9.08 - Sitcom «Swallow’s Nest», which is distributed by FILM.UA Distribution, will be broadcasted on First Channel Eurasia in Kazakhstan starting August 6. Series is broadcasted on weekdays in daytime.
7.08 - Signal RED started shooting commercial for UNICEF. This year, the Organization for the Protection of Children's Rights is celebrating 15 years in Ukraine, in this connection, the idea to create a small trailer that could illustrate the main activities arose.
1.08 - The film «The Bomber» (FILM.UA, Shpil, 2011) was nominated for the Seoul International Drama Awards and will compete for a prize in the category of mini-series. FILM.UA Distribution for several years has been actively cooperating with Asian distributors and such military picture as «Werewolf Hunt», «Tertium non Datur», «Black sheep», «The Bomber» and «Angels of War» are available for viewing in Japan, China, Korea and other Asian countries. According to GFK Ukraine mini-series «The Bomber» gained a share of 15.20% (age 14-49). The series was broadcasted from 14 to 17 May in the evening prime time (at 20:15 and at 21:15).
31.05 - the Ukrainian movie theaters will show a long-awaited prequel of the legendary «Alien» - the film «Prometheus». Picture of Ridley Scott was dubbed by our old friends and partners, company «POSTMODERN». «Prometheus» was not only dubbed at FILM.UA Studio - digital copies for the theaters were made by the company «DCU», a digital lab which is located at our studio.
24.05 - Within the fifth Congress of IAB (Independent Association of Radio & TV broadcasters): «All modern aspects of radio and television activities» head of legal department of FILM.UA , Igor Bondarenko, made a speech. On May 23, at 17:00, Igor along with representatives from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the STB have taken part in a panel discussion on «Intellectual Property: distribution of film rights».

21.01 – A film club entitled NoNameClub starts functioning at FILM.UA Studio. The task of the club is to screen time-tested renowned movies from the world’s golden collection and also to hold interesting talks about good films and unknown facts, to organize public discussions and film screenings, meetings with active cinematographers and parties.
01.02 – Signal Red, a creative agency and a production company, is founded. The company provides a wide range of services in video design, branding and production of TV and film content: from the concept to full projects implementation.
23.03 - FILM.UA Television became the only Ukrainian member of Sparks Network, one of the biggest media associations in the world dealing with development and distribution of TV formats and content. Sparks Network members include leading film and TV production companies in 16 countries of the world heading the rankings at local markets.
28.04 – A Ukrainian film made with the participation of FILM.UA won at the 64th Cannes International Film Festival. Cross, a short film by young Ukrainian director Maryna Vroda, was co-produced by FILM.UA (Ukraine) and Three line Production (France).
26.05 – For the first time in Ukraine, CDSA certification was received by two companies: Digital Cinema Ukraine and POSTMODERN, both part of FILM.UA Group. This means that all content from these companies is securely protected from pirating.
20.10 - FILM.UA Distribution concluded an agreement to sell two military series, The Bomber and Black Sheep, on the territory of German-speaking countries. After the films are dubbed into German, they will be released on DVDs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
21.11 – For the first time the heads of Ukrainian companies POSTMODERN and Signal Red, Yegor Olesov and Yevgeniy Sannikov, became members of the most respected world association of visual effects experts, The Visual Effects Society (VES).

20.09 - Digital Cinema Ukraine (DCU) company becomes the first from Ukraine to make it to the list of world digital film labs. The film lab specializes in complex tasks to convert image and sound into DCP format according to Digital Cinema Initiatives specification.
27.09 - FILM.UA, jointly with Independent TV and Radio Broadcasters Association, organizes Kinomedia, a festival of short films about media work. The Grand Prix winner will go to the 64th Cannes International Film Festival in May 2011.
15.10 - FILM.UA received 4 Teletriumph prizes in the following nominations: TV Film Composer (Yegor Olesov, Black Sheep); TV Feature Film/Mini Series (Black Sheep); Infotainment Program (Doctor Komarovsky’s School); and TV Novella (Neighbors).
03.11 - FILM.UA Distribution signed an agreement to sell the rights to Black Sheep and The Werewolf Hunt with UK distributors. The deal was struck after the meetings at MIP COM 2010. Besides, the military series were sold to Thailand, China and Hong Kong, and The Werewolf Hunt to Indonesia.
02.12 – In November 2010, FILM.UA Distribution and Digital Ventures struck an unprecedented deal for the Ukrainian media market: an annual contract on FILM.UA selling exclusive publishing rights for a big package of films and TV series (both produced by FILM.UA group only and in co-production with other film companies) at Tochka.net portal. This is over 400 hours of audiovisual content.
2009
10.04 - FILM.UA Distribution company came back from MIPCOM 2009 annual exhibition. After the trip, the arrangements with Czech partners were finalized to sell rights to films Tertium Non Datur, The Werewolf Hunt and Exit.
09.06 – With the participation of FILM.UA Distribution, a deal was struck with Film Vision, a company from Kyrgyzstan. The deal concerned TV rights to series Healed With Love made by FILM.UA.
22.06 – The end of DISCOP 2009, an Eastern European market of TV content held in Budapest. After the visit to the market, preliminary arrangements were reached about selling the rights to military action series The Werewolf Hunt and a military detective film Tertium Non Datur to the territory of Poland.
07.07 - FILM.UA Distribution concluded a deal on the territory of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The deal was reached on a 60-episode TV novella Territory of Beauty filmed by FILM.UA Production in 2008.
27.07 - FILM.UA starts working on a new genre, documentaries and docudramas about historical events and figures.
26.08 - FILM.UA Distribution signed a contract with a Latvian company to sell rights to the territories of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia for a package of films. FILM.UA Distribution transfers the rights to its Baltic partners to release the following films on DVDs: Saint Patrick’s Mystery, Shadow’s Hunting, Female job with risk for life, European Convoy, Enterpreneurs, Bankers, The Murderer With No Identity, Operations Officer Kryuk, Dead.Alive. 22.10 - Kodak Cinelab Ukraine at FILM.UA Studio is the first lab in Ukraine to develop negative films. The lab has all cutting-edge technologies in place: Calder, a developing machine from the UK; the option to transfer information to Digital Betacam; and a machine for ultrasound film cleaning. Only Kodak-produced solutions are used for developing (now they are among the best solutions in the world); developing is done under chemical, mechanic and sensitometric control.

28.02 - FILM.UA Distribution was presented in the Ukrainian pavilion of WorldContentMarket in Prague. This event was held for the first time, on February 25-27, 2008.
28.05 - FILM.UA starts working with alternative formats: Mysterious Island thriller (starring Yevgeniy Stychkin, Nelli Uvarova and Bogdan Benyuk) will be shot on a 16 mm film. It is a first for the company; before, all TV films were shot in HD-DVD, a high-resolution digital format.
28.08 - An affiliated production company entitled FILM.UA Television emerged in the structure of FILM.UA Group. The company will deal exclusively with TV programs production.
09.07 - Igor Storchak, director of FILM.UA Distribution company, was invited as a jury member to the semifinals of International Emmy Awards to determine the best TV works beyond the US in Comedy and Scriptless Entertainment Shows categories.
12.07 - One of the first successful Ukrainian soap operas, She Wolf, was sold to Lebanon for air broadcast. This is the country’s first cooperation with Ukraine. Besides, some TV films produced by FILM.UA were sold to Asia to be shown on “new media”.
10.07 - Singapore Airlines guests will be able to watch Ukraine-produced films on board during the flight; among the sold rights are FILM.UA hits The Bluebird of Happiness and If You Hear Me. A full package of rights was sold to Canada to broadcast all FILM.UA Distribution library on IPTV for the Ukrainian diaspora. The TV rights to melodrama Subscriber Cannot Be Reached at the Moment were sold to Italy.
27.10 – At Cannes film market, Latvian television bought 10 films from FILM.UA for their broadcasts; one of the biggest Russian companies will release new FILM.UA films on DVDs (Mysterious Island, Snowbreak, Gravity, Love Cardiogram, Chemistry, Everything Happens for a Reason).
21.11 - FILM.UA Television, the Group’s affiliated company, jointly with National Space Agency became partners with the biggest German broadcaster ProSieben to implement a unique and unprecedented project. Using professional capacities of FILM.UA and Konstantin Entertainment as well as the research foundation of Space Agency, the German TV channel sent 100 email messages to space broadcasting it live in a well-known Uri Geller Show. Uri Geller is the German David Copperfield, an illusionist and a mentalist, well known for his spoon-bending trick and stopping the Big Ben clock.

21.03 – FILM.UA completed its restructuring process on the 16th of March and created a comprehensive media group. Several affiliated companies will now start working under the umbrella of FILM.UA Group. FILM.UA Production is a company producing TV films and series for Ukrainian and Russian TV channels. FILM.UA Distribution sells rights to TV and film products and is organized on the basis of IntWest Distribution company (Ukraine).
09.06 - FILM.UA Distribution sold the rights to Witch Love series to be shown in Kazakhstan, the Baltic countries, Belarus, Israel and the USA.
29.08 - Creation of POSTMODERN company. It is the biggest post-production studio in Ukraine. Providing a wide range of services to work with the image, sound and video effects, our professional team offers a full cycle of post-production solutions, from the development of creative scenario to the delivery of finished product.
18.10 - At MIPCOM 2007 in France, the company presented a catalogue of new films from FILM.UA, among them Playing Tin Soldiers, Man for Life, God of Sorrow and Joy and many others. Cozy family films from FILM.UA will also be shown to the audiences in Poland, Bulgaria and France.
26.10 - FILM.UA company delegation came back from the 12th International Television Festival in Bar (Montenegro) with an award. For the first time, two Ukrainian films participated in the competition program, both produced by FILM.UA: God of Sorrow and Joy and On the Bridge. Aleksandra Kulikova was awarded Best Actress for playing the lead in TV film God of Sorrow and Joy.
13.12 – On the Bridge was nominated to the 21st International Festival of Audiovisual Programs in France (Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels – FIPA). The event will take place in Biarritz on January 22-27, 2008. The film by Ivan Sautkin will participate in the festival in Drama category.
2006
01.12 – Opening of the first (orange) pavilion at FILM.UA Studio. Thanks to its size – 900 sq.m. – and high-tech equipment, the pavilion is actively used for filming series and reality shows. The pavilion architecture was used to film a 160-episode TV novella Heart Has Its Way (adapted from Romanian format Tears of Love). The project was successfully broadcast on 1+1 TV channel (Ukraine) and federal Fifth Channel (Russia).
11.12 - FILM.UA jointly with Pronto Production started shooting a new film entitled On the Bridge.
26.06 – End of filming for one-episode melodrama Bring Back the Faith jointly produced by Production.ua and FILM.UA.
2005
01.04 – End of filming for TV novella Healed With Love produced by FILM.UA and Mamadu creative group and commissioned by Inter TV channel. It is the first long-playing soap opera produced in Ukraine. 05.04 – Aerosvit licenses FILM.UA films for personal video players available to business class passengers. Practically all TV films, military series and musicals produced by FILM.UA are included into the playlist.
21.05 – End of filming for Joker, a detective TV film produced by FILM.UA and Inter TV channel.
12.11 – End of filming for Oksana Bayrak’s melodrama Woman’s Intuition produced by FILM.UA, Studio Bayrak and Inter.
2003
01.11 - FILM.UA finished filming its first drama series European Convoy based on real events. It is the story of a unique crime – bank robbery in a small Lower Saxony town by three men from the USSR, taking two hostages, car chase over the territory of three countries and hostage liberated in the vicinity of Rivne. The film was shot in Luneburg, the chase in Uelzen, and in spite of formal ban real German police cars were used in it. The filming group has worked for three days on the territory of a sensitive facility, the Ukrainian Ministry of Interior, having occupied the office of No. 2 person in the organization, the State Secretary. For 24 hours the filming group was granted access to transborder crossing Dorokhusk-Yagodyn.
