The film is based on the true story of Kasym Kaysenov, a famous Soviet scout and officer of special reconnaissance, a national hero of Kazakhstan and a man of exceptional bravey, who fought on the grounds of Ukraine during World War II.
It's summer of 1942. Nazis are planning a massive operations against the Soviet lands, and Kasym is tasked with destroying enemy fuel storage depots. As his entire subversion group is demised, Kasym filnds himself alone behind the enemy lines. In this life and death situation Kasym manages to complete his mission with the help of local civilians.
