FILM. UA Group, the leading Ukrainian film production, has licensed its hit series THE SNIFFER to SKY KRIMIGermany. This series is going to be the ever Eastern European project to appear on the SKY platform.
Carolin Schoenhaar, Senior Acquisitions Manager at SKY Germany, states: “We are very excited to offer this series to our SKY KRIMI fan base and look forward to seeing how it will resonate with our viewers.”
The series is going to launch this summer on SKY KRIMI television channel dedicated to crime series.
“We eagerly await the premiere of the series in Germany on SKY channel. We are proud that it's going to be the first Eastern European series on the platform. We are happy that the Sniffer will finally speak German and is going to be there for a large germanophone audience to enjoy”, – comments Evgeniy Drachov, International Sales Manager at FILM.UA Distribution.
The show's protagonist, played by Kirill Käro, has an unusually keen sense of smell that allows him to investigate crimes by detecting and distinguishing trace amounts of various substances. Don’t you doubt his extraordinary skills! But his sense of smell is also a curse just as much as it is a gift.
THE SNIFFER has been sold in over 60 territories. The fifth season of THE SNIFFER is currently in development.
Barbara Vallant from aromaTV, who brokered the deal, adds: “There is a continued appetite for suspenseful and brilliantly told stories. THE SNIFFER is definitely one of those series, and we are thrilled to have found a home for it in Germany.”
