Results of 2013

Last year was very eventful. We present TOP 10 news from FILM.UA Group.

1. Viewers in Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan love our films. 

Our series "Vasiliy Stalin", "Vanga" and "The Sniffer" entered TOP 20 Ukrainian TV premiers. Series "Dr. Baby Dust" entered TOP 10 most popular Ukrainian series viewed on-line. Series "Chapay" has become the most popular film of 2013 on ICTV.  

The Sniffer has become the best premiere in Russia for the last 5 years. Vanga entered TOP 10 series in Russia. "Waiting List", "Vasiliy Stalin", "The Chimney Guest" demonstrated very high ratings. Series "Kasym" and "The Road to Nowhere" topped the rating in Kazakhstan.

2. The most interesting and complex shows are shot at our studio. 

Last year two high-tech soundstages were brought into production: soundstage #1 with an area of 1200 sq. m., and soundstage #3, that was designed to work with animation. In 2013, seven stages at FILM.UA Studio have became a platform for the shooting of the most striking, large and expensive shows such as "Ukraine's Got Talent", "X-Factor", "Everyone Dance!", "Evening Kiev", "Make the comedian laugh", "Red and Black". A new location, village with wooden houses, wells and church, has appeared.

3. Not only viewers, but also critics and professionals have mentioned the high quality of our films.  This is evidenced by our success at international competitions and festivals.

The film "Inseparable", which premiered in Spring 2013, was shortilisted for VES Awards in two categories. Our projects were awarded at international TV festivals: Jules Verne — Platinum Remi Award (WorldFest Houston), Silver Dolphin, Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2013; Free energy of Tesla — Platinum Remi Award, WorldFest Houston 2013, Angels of War — globe-GOLD, World Media Festival Hamburg 2013, Gold Plaque, Chicago International Film Festival Television Awards 2013, Special Jury Award, WorldFest Houston 2013, Silver Screen, US International Film & Video Festival 2013.

4. Revival of Ukrainian animation is now a reality! 

In 2013 FILM.UA Group actively developed animation. The company Animagrad launched Animadom where our experts draw new episodes for "Fairytale Rus", work on the second season of "Eskimo girl" and animation feature film "Knight & Princess" and "Legends of Tripolie".

5. FILM.UA Group allows full-cycle production in Ukraine. 

Ukraine's largest cinema hall for color correction was launched at the end of the year. Now all the production services, including all kinds of work with the picture and sound can be carried out "under the roof" of one company.

6. The newest technological solutions are available in Ukraine. 

Digital Cinema Ukraine presents new Motion Capture system. Introduction of Motion Control system has become a serious upgrade. MILO MC  —  robotic crane, which allows you to freely control the camera in three dimensions and can exactly repeat all the motions set, as well as changing the focal length of the photographic lens.

7. First in Ukraine FILM.UA Group not just dubbed, but also made ​​full adaptation of the series for television.

The first one was the series "Elementary" for NTN.

8. FILM.UA Group launched Ukraine's first online database of costumes, props, retro cars and locations.

Our customers - domestic and foreign film productions, television studios, advertising and creative agencies. The most exotic guests at our studio were members of the Iranian crew who were shooting a French court scene.

9. Troeschina – is a Ukrainian Hollywood.  

Since FILM.UA and Star Media have became neighbors, more people take these words absolutely serious.

10. We are moving West!   

FILM.UA Distribution signed an agreement on selling our films in Europe. Bulgarian National channel BNT has aquired "The Sniffer", "Inseparable", "Vanga", "Vasiliy Stalin" and "Kasym". Series "Great Dreamers" were sold to Polish national broadcaster  TVP -Telewizja Polska.
