A prophecy of an old man from an antiques shop… A phone number on a napkin, left in a café… A foreboding meeting… Life has her way of telling Andrey that things happen for a reason. Andrey’s life is transformed after having met a lonely girl Lilya. She is like no other woman he has met before. Lilya builds castles in the air and believes in miracles. An adamant cynic, Andrey falls head over heels in love with her. He can’t wait to tie the knot, but Lilya postpones the wedding, not mustering enough courage to tell him that her chances of ever bearing a child for him are slim due to her heart condition. They just live and love, come what may. But all good things must come to an end… An absurd car accident crushes the glass house of their happiness and leaves Andrey bed-ridden. But when it rains it pours, and the catastrophe is just the beginning of the string of complex trials and tribulations and emotional meltdowns fate has in store for the lovers. But, as they say, it is always darkest before the dawn…
