We visited the shooting of the new "Dr. Komarovsky’s School. Emergency care" (TV channel Inter). The program is aired on January 5. Despite the fact that this program was not about the most pleasant things in life like bleeding, pain, burns and even suffocation, the atmosphere on set was very sincere and positive.
"Yes, the topic of the program is difficult, because we are talking about accidents with children - told us the creators of the project. - However, according to our idea, there must be no negativity on the set. Specifically for the program we came up with a cartoon character Lucky. He gets into different difficult situations as this boy is inattentive and absent-minded. And Dr. Komarovsky analyzes these situations and explains what should be done and what is not. We must not scare the audience, although it is about traumatic accidents. Our task is not to intimidate parents but to teach them how to act in difficult situations. In fact, such things must be taught in elementary school, in initial or middle forms".
Eugene Komarovsky himself, despite his impressive experience in television, was very nervous before the shooting. But still found time to talk with us. The doctor told us that the new program is not a clinic. "We do talk about emergency situations". Komarovsky also told us how to become a TV star. "You know, in order to find a common language with the average Ukrainian grandmother, you must not only have actor potential, but also potential of an artist - admitted Komarovsky. - There are few countries in the world, where a grandmother has more influence in the family than the local pediatrician. After all, no one in the West would think of paying a doctor and then discuss whether to follow his recommendations".
In addition, the famous doctor shared with us a recipe of good health: "I do not get cold, despite the fact that I’m a big fan of winter fishing. I just know what to wear not to get sick. Of course, I become infected when all of my patients come in the winter with a virus. I can only protect against influenza virus by vaccination". Also, the doctor lifted the veil of secrecy over his hobbies: "In addition to medicine, I’m fond of women, literature, music, fishing, hiking, spending time with friends. And normal tableful".
"Emergency care" was shot in the morning on the weekend, but no one complained about a tight schedule. There were more extras than it was required, many of them stood in a long queue to get on the set. By the way, all the guests in the studio had to wear white top and black bottom.
The atmosphere was very friendly and warm. And this is despite the fact that Lucky, the protagonist of the program, had to be literally crippled. "With a wounded hand he was like a doll from a horror movie", - said people on the set. Despite the serious issues that were raised in the program, it was really cozy with tea, coffee, dim lights in the control room, where director controlled all the shooting process. So the program should be good and very useful.
