All the intrigue around new episodes of Ukrainian version of "Let's get married" has been disclosed: host will be Anfisa Chekhova, matchmaker - actress Olga Radchuk and astrologer Elena Moldovanova will determine the compatibility of the heroes. Shooting continues for a third day, so I only had to see how the process goes and find out what changes happened to the project after a long break.
FILM.UA Television is engaged in the production of the show, but in the beginning Mama's Film Production‘s team will consult them. The program is made for "Inter" - new episodes will be broadcasted at the end of the summer. In addition to new hosts in the show there will be lots of new stuff, take a look at the photos:
- We’ve received an order from FILM.UA to make new sets for the program "Let's get married". We dismantled the old – now we need a new one. We’ve defined the idea in the process of making up something new, because at that time there was no director or cameraman. The concept was lying on the surface, because once the idea was to make this show in the Botanic Garden. Oh, and then there was domino effect and we wanted something more festive, open-air option, compared with last sets, which I also designed and built. So that’s how idea of a cozy alcove was born. Plus, parameters of the pavilion dictated the terms of shooting. My team of 12 people worked over the production of new sets. We also designed sets for several FILM.UA television projects - «Lawsuits. Offence and Penalty”, "Let's Get Married”, "Doctor Komarovsky's School”.
- And how did you choose colors?
- It was based on the idea of maximum lightness and transparency - the origin was the white color as a wedding color. Well, the purple curtain appeared on the basis that we have both boys and girls.
- How much time it took to create the sets?
- Two weeks to build them and four days to develop the idea, make drawings and 3D-visualization.
- Clear. And finally, tell us more about the video screen.
- This is a 14-meter screen with a height of 360 centimeters. And so, with the help of video, you can do any mood, any graphics output - can "watch the fireworks," and can "go to the mountains". Now there are flying birds, flowing water, the wind blows through the grass and trees...
About the details of the project I talked to its head Kirill Tymoshenko:
- Kirill, how were the first days of shooting?
- Everything okay, except for those events that you have already written about, due to the fault of "Aeroflot" Anfisa lost her luggage at the airport. The problem was quickly resolved, we started the shooting almost arrested on time.
- Why did you choose Chekhova as a host?
- Well, it is clear that this is her program. Moreover, we found a common language with the channel - they also want Anfisa. This is "Inter’s" desire, and, at the same time, the ideal option. First, Chekhova has a good family experience: she has a common-law husband and child. Secondly, she is a great professional. In addition, Anfisa led many programs about love and relationship, and this show has the same direction.
- And what about matchmaker?
- Olga Radchuk was on the list - we had a big casting for the matchmaker and astrologer. When she arrived, we immediately realized - this is what we are looking for. She asks questions that always get to the point, put the groom/matchmaker/bride in a position where they have to answer the truth. Besides, Olga understands when this truth is necessary in the program.
- I noticed that she is quite emotional.
- Yes, and Anfisa smoothes her a little. And when she realizes that we need emotions - on the contrary, turns around and says, well, that’s too sweet, Olga it’s time to ask questions. But Anfisa herself can bite, if necessary. Olga can "protect" the groom from Anfisa and Anfisa can “protect” the bride from Olga. They make a great balance.
- And what are the requirements to an astrologer?
- It is necessary for her to be a professional.
- Who made casting for this role?
- Creative producer, psychologist, chief editor, director, producer.
- How did you check her professionalism?
- We have selected only from professional astrologers on the advice of other astrologers, with whom we have worked before, but can’t work together on this project. Plus, we’ve analyzed the market and chose Lena Moldovanova. She does not use any hard astrological terminology that is not needed in this program, because the audience will not understand. But, at the same time, Lena is a professional and can handle all the terms.
- Tell us about innovations in the project.
- We have added a large 14-foot video screen, new sets - alcove in the American style, amid the beautiful nature. Plus, we use this screen for a variety of musical performances and profiles. We have added more light and cameras, the sets changed for the better ... We have released more than 550 episodes of "Let's get married" for other channels, but I still understand that there are some technological, aesthetic nuances that need to be changed. We are happy with the result.
- Is working with Chekhova differs from working with previous hosts?
- Each has its pros and cons. We are pleased with Chekhova, and other hosts. We work in the same regime, just as before.

- Anfisa, tell us about the situation with the loss of luggage before the shooting.
- While I moved from terminal to terminal at the airport, they did not have enough time to take it from one plane to another. It was re-issued from Astrakhan to Boryspil - "Astrakhan - Moscow", then "Moscow-Boryspil". For 2 hours I was going around, had time to rest, and they did not have time to transfer my luggage.
- How the situation was resolved?
- Then it was sent on the next flight. Shooting was not delayed much, but the residue remained.
