Earlier we wrote about the shooting of two pilot episodes of «Sniffer». Usually producers do not shoot complete episode as a «pilot» for it’s a big risk. If the shooting is going to stop, then money spent for this «test» will not return. The footage will go to the archives, and it will not be used. But in our case it was vice versa.
«Sniffer» is a new project of FILM.UA in which we believed from the beginning and believed in so strongly, that decided not to attract additional investment. There were two complete episodes shot, they were edited and special effects were drawn. After we’ve watched completed episode we decided to continue shooting.
In connection with it the second plate was broken! As you know, the plate was broken for good luck, right after the first shot scene. The smaller pieces are - the higher ratings the series gets. Director and co-author of the project, Artem Litvinenko, broke a plate with all might so there were enough pieces for the whole crew. Each chose a piece for oneself:
By the way, shooting took place in very unusual locations - waste recycling plant. First the garbage is sorted, then pressed, and then recycled according to its type. The first scene was shot for the 7th episode. Main character, Sniffer, is able to catch the nuances of smell even in such complicated place. In further it’ll help him to reveal the most mysterious crimes and to solve the most difficult puzzles.
Kiril Kyaro plays Sniffer, and the role of his friend «Dr. Watson» is played by Ivan Oganesyan. The guys met as old friends, and told me that really missed Kiev. Soon other colleagues will join them.
