FILM.UA Group and 1+1 Ukrainian TV channel have started filming the series Dr. Baby Dust: New Life. A highly popular medical TV series is set to debut on 1+1 Ukrainian channel, offering a fresh reboot of the beloved storyline that accurately reflects our modern times.
The events will take place at the time after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion at the Research Centre for Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine in Kyiv. This center is where pregnant women from all over Ukraine with pathologies and complications are referred to receive medical care. The main character, a talented obstetrician and gynecologist Mykhailo Honchar, who was forced to move to Kyiv from Sievierodonetsk, starts working here. The hospital where Mykhailo headed the maternity ward as well as his house were destroyed by Russian shelling. After being injured, he had to start a new life in Kyiv with his daughter, whom he is raising alone. As he starts a new job, he unwittingly crosses the path of an ambitious deputy manager and eventually gets involved in intrigue.
The series brought together a whole galaxy of famous Ukrainian actors. The main roles are played by actor Andrii Isaienko, known for his films Shchedryk and The Rising Hawk, and Anastasiia Tsymbalaru, a Ukrainian actress, founder of the Act Lots Charity Initiative in Ukraine and star of the TV series Papik-2. The audience will also see Ukrainian actor Ivan Zhyliuk, Age Difference star Oleksii Nahrudnyi, and Nina Naboka, who was seen in the TV series The Big Brothers. The cast also includes Oleksandra Liuta, Oleksandra Epshtein, Oleksii Zorin, Olena Mykhailychenko, Anatolii Tykhomyrov, Valentyna Vovchenko, Yaroslav Shakhtorin, Kyrylo Prokopchuk, Liudmyla Kurmel, and others.
The filming took place in a specially built pavilion by FILM.UA Group company. The pavilion was transformed into a real large hospital with modern medical equipment.
The series is produced by 1+1 Ukrainian TV channel and produced by Maksym Kryvytskyi, Olesia Pazenko, and Inna Kondratiuk. Showrunner is Yuliia Mishchenko, stage directors are Andrii Kolesnyk, Pavlo Mashchenko, and Serhii Sotnychenko, director of photography is Oleksandr Detynenko, production designer is Nataliia Bartash, make-up artist is Kateryna Meleshko, costume designer is Tetiana Bessarabova, writing team is Serhii and Nataliia Shevchenko, Olha Artiukh.
