Pulse sports biopic based on a real story of Ukrainian champion Oksana Boturchuk will become an opening film at Flathead Lake International Cinemafest (FLIC) in Polson, USA. This will also become the global premiere of the film. The screening will take place on January 29. Besides, the film will be screened for the second time on January 31, at the event closing.

The movie is also a festival nominee in four categories at once: Best Film, Best Director (Sergiy Chebotarenko), Best Actress (Natalia Babenko) and Best Actor (Stanislav Boklan).

The festival will take place on January 29-31 both offline and online. All events will be held live; however, for those who prefer virtual format the films will be available for viewing on special website after the end of all screenings.

The sports drama will be presented at the festival by director Sergiy Chebotarenko. After this screening, he will also hold a Q&A session with the audience.

The premiere screening of Pulse at an American festival has always been my dream, and I am delighted that it has come true. I am very grateful to the organizers for four nominations, especially for Best Film and Best Director, and for choosing our film to open the event. It is a great honor for me to personally conduct a Q&A session with the audience,” says Sergiy Chebotarenko.

Film producer Egor Olesov adds, “We are extremely proud that Pulse has become the opening film of the festival. This means that we won’t only fight in four nominations but also will be the first to show our film to the public.”

Just a reminder: the film premiere was planned for March 19, 2020; however, due to COVID-19 pandemic it was postponed to 2021.
