The film was nominated in four main categories at once:
The jury gave high grades to the Ukrainian film: “This is a story of personal triumph told with great sophistication. The film’s excellence is obvious everywhere: beautiful VFX, music, high-quality production and almost impeccable acting of the whole cast. It is great to see such gems as Pulse when you watch dozens of films per month. The film is a good candidate for the main prize.”
“Being nominated in four categories is short of incredible, especially at an American festival; this is a great honor for me. I am very happy that Pulse deeply impressed the jury and was nominated for best film,” said Sergiy Chebotarenko, film director.
“It is really great that the jury of an American film festival holds such high opinion of our movie, direction, and emotional acting of Ukrainian cast. We hope for awards and are really looking forward to Ukrainian premiere the following year!” said Egor Olesov, producer.
FLIC (FLATHEAD LAKE INTERNATIONAL CINEMAFEST) will take place on January 29-31 for the ninth time.
