Talk to Her melodrama filming started

In Arena City, Kyiv business center, a plate was broken to celebrate the start of filming for Talk to Her, a new joint project by FILM.UA and Ukraina TV channel.

Arena City, a luxurious business center, didn’t just become the venue for the “plate” official ceremony. According to the script, it is here that the office of one of the characters, big businessman Mikhail Konovalov, is located.  

Talk to Her is about friendship and love, honesty and betrayal, sincerity and hypocrisy. Katya Malikova the protagonist will have to find out who are her friends and who are her haters and enemies. Aleksandra and Artem, other characters in the story, will also have to re-evaluate their lives…

Tatyana Nosenko, creative producer, tells about the new project: 

“The perk of our film is that the protagonist is played by two actresses. According to the plot, she has to remain unrecognized even by people close to her. We looked for actresses who’d be similar in body language, movements and eyes, i.e. had elusive similarities. It is the same in our story, it has very complicated and deep characters, with both good and bad traits mixed in each. Every one of them will have to find their own way, and many characters will manage to hold on thanks to love.”

One of the main characters in the story was played by Grigoriy Baklanov. This is how he sees his character Artem:  

“I liked Artem because of his complexity and ambiguity. In the beginning, he has everything: career, great prospects in life, and love. But then everything turns around and he becomes disappointed in everything… I like it that my character doesn’t give up: Artem fights to come back to the life he has lost.” 

Roman Tkachenko, director, also shared his opinion about the characters and their complicated relationships: 

“This is a story about betrayal, human meanness, and love. Each character lives through their own drama, and this will change them a lot. Right before our eyes, some characters will break, unable to survive their pain. As for the others, they will become purer and stronger. Observing these characters’ transformations would be most fascinating. And only in the end it will become clear who was who for real and who has earned what.”

About the film

Katya and Sasha have been friends since childhood. But their friendship was destroyed by love for one man, Artem, who ended up choosing Katya. The wedding way was to become the happiest in the lives of the couple but turned out to be their last. The cruel game of Artem’s uncle Valeriy almost killed Katya and made Sasha miserable. And only after forgiving each other the friends were able to overcome everything and find real love. This time, each her own…
