On August 5, filming for another #BestComedyoftheYear sequel, Crazy Wedding 3, started. In the third movie of a hit franchise the authors promise even more unexpected twists, celebs and loads of high-quality Ukrainian humor!
Four years have passed since the events of the latest film. 18-year-old Zakhar has found his love and decided to get married. She is the daughter of a gypsy baron, he is the youngest son of Vasyl Seredyuk – but though Zakhar is ready for anything after the weddings of his two elder sisters, everything can go contrary to the wedding plan, especially when Seredyuk Sr’s midlife crisis has reached its peak!

Apart from Seredyuk family, new adventures are coming for other characters in the comedy that we know: father Yevlampiy will have a diplomatic visit from Hrushevsky convent, Mother Superior herself! Colonel Popadyuk will keep working to grow the statistics of solved crimes, and energetic master of ceremonies Nazariy Zapukhlyak will have a new crush. And surely, what would a Ukrainian wedding be without Oleg Vynnyk!

With each new film, the cast of CrazyWeddingis complemented by new supestars; the same will be true for the third part of a hit franchise. As for who exactly from Ukrainian show business will appear onscreen, the film authors promise to divulge that a bit later.
The comedy sequel will have celebs which have already participated in the project – YuriyGorbunov, Potap, OleksiyZavgorodniy (Pozitiv), OleksiySuprun (PetroBumper), MONATIK, and OlegVynnyk.
The lead roles of bride and groom in CrazyWedding 3 will be played by young Ukrainian actors KaterynaFineand VyacheslavKhostikoyev.Our familiar and well-loved characters from the franchise will be played again by Nazar Zadniprovsky, Lesya Samayeva, Polina Vasylyna, Jimmy Voha-Voha, Oleksandr Kobzar, Vira Kobzar, Inna Prykhodko and Aram Arzumanyan.

The role of bride’s father, gypsy baron, will be played by IhorKrykunov, director, theatre and film actor, head of Roma theatre “Romance”, distinguished Ukrainian artist. Petro Chorniy, a popular singer of Roma origin and merited Ukrainian artist, will also play in the movie. Besides, he’ll become the project’s consultant to preserve the authenticity of all Roma traditions and ritual. Right now, we are working on an authentic Roma wedding dress and a Roma van.
The world of CrazyWedding 3, just like the previous two parts, will grow thanks to the effort of FILM.UA Group and Prototype Production, with YuriyGorbunov, IrynaKostyuk, NadiaKorotushka, founders of MOZGI Entertainment Iryna Gorova and Oleksiy Potapenko (Potap) again as co-producers and Potap and Pozitiv as sound producers. Crazy Wedding 3 will be distributed on the Ukrainian territory by Kinomania and FILM.UA Distribution, the latter also responsible for international sales. The third movie will be directed by Lyubomyr Levytsky known for such works as Shtolnya, Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors and #SelfieParty.

The filming will take place in Kyiv and Kyiv region in August and September. The release is planned for 2021. Despite unstable situation in the world, the authors of Crazy Wedding 3 believe in the Ukrainian audience and its interest in high-quality modern film product.

Just a reminder: the first two parts of the film enjoyed huge success, paid off after release and became profitable. CrazyWeddingremained the first Ukrainian film in history with its producers returning funds allocated by Ukrainian State Film Agency plus interest. The film has set two national records: box office among all Ukrainian films and number of viewers for Ukrainian-produced film. Besides, the comedy beat the record of the last decade and became the most popular film on television since 2009 by all main audiences.

The TV premiere of Crazy Wedding 2 didn’t just become the most popular program on 1+1 TV channel in 2020 but also headed the ranking of best feature films on all Ukrainian television in 2020.
Both films won at the 10th and 11th competitive selections in Ukrainian State Film Agency.
Besides, CrazyWeddingcomedy became the first Ukrainian film with its format exported abroad: on January 31 in Lithuania, adaptation of Ukrainian comedy under the title ImportedGroomcame out and collected whopping 814,000$ in box office. The rights to the film concept were also acquired by Romania, negotiations with other countries are ongoing with some already at agreement-signing stage. Now the film is presented in FILM.UA Distribution catalog; this company is an international distributor of FILM.UA Group projects. The film was shown in the theaters of Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Canada, and the USA.
