Shout Factory Has Acquired Rights in The Rising Hawk Historical Action Film for the USA and Canada

• 15.06.2020

The Rising Hawk, a film produced by Kinorob, will appear on the screens of the new continent.

FILM.UA Distribution has announced that an American company Shout Factory became a distributor for the film in the US and Canada.

Ukrainian films do not appear on American and Canadian screens all too often. So we are especially proud to be able to acquaint the North American audience with our film, – tells Evgeniy Drachov, international sales manager of FILM.UA Distribution. – We have no doubt that The Rising Hawk will entice our American colleagues. The film features a wonderful cast of world-renowned actors, like Robert Patric and Tommy Flanagan. The film also had an American co-director - John Wynn. The theme of the picture is pretty much universal - the fight for freedom, for the rights, and homeland. Also, the visuals of the film are breathtaking, which comes as no surprise, as it was shot in the Carpathian Mountains. We anticipate that the audience will enjoy it greatly”.

Earlier, the rights in The Rising Hawk historical action film were sold to Spain (Flins & Piniculas), Germany and germanophone Europe (Capelight Pictures). Also, Volga company has acquired theatrical rights in the film for the Baltic States - Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, where the theatrical premiere happened on the 28th of February. The Ukrainian release took place in October last year.
