A hit Ukrainian comedy will be shown in theaters across the US and Canada, also the Czech Republic joins the European geography of the film’s release.
On February 27, the theatrical release of ‘Crazy Wedding 2’ Ukrainian family comedy will happen in three new countries simultaneously. In the USA, the film will be shown in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit, New York, and Chicago. In Canada, the film will go for screens in Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, and Edmonton. Also, the release will happen in the Czech Republic.
“We are proud that Ukrainian Cinema began to tell about itself so resoundingly to the world. Because we certainly have things to share! A year ago, we were happy about the results of Ukrainian animation: ‘The Stolen Princess’ was shown in over 50 countries. And now it's a turn for comedy, and I think that ‘Crazy Wedding’ is a perfect candidate for the first contact with that genre of Ukrainian cinema. I am certain that this lighthearted and positive story with a familiar conflict between parents and children will entertain the audience. And the recent success of a Lithuanian film created by the format of this comedy’s first part is another proof of that,” - notes Igor Storchak, the CEO of FILM.UA Distribution.
We also remind that in January, a theatrical release of the film ‘Importinis Jaunikis’ (Imported Husband-to-be), based on the format of ‘Crazy Wedding’ took place. The comedy is leading the box office charts and surpassing its competition with ease, including Hollywood projects.
At the beginning of February, ‘Crazy Wedding 2’ had a start in Poland. The film was shown all across the country in the original language with Polish subtitles.
