FILM.UA Distribution is at the world’s biggest film marketplace – American Film Market!

November 6th, the world’s biggest film content market has begun – American Film Market. FILM.UA Distribution with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation organized Ukrainian stand and screenings of modern Ukrainian films.

This stand will assist in the promotion of Ukrainian films around the world. One of three participants who will represent the country on this stand was selected by competition organized by FILM.UA Distribution in conjunction with the Ukrainian State Film Agency, won by Alla Bielaia. Ukrainian delegation also includes CEO of FILM.UA Distribution Igor Storchak and International Sales Manager Evgeniy Drachov.


Films ‘The Rising Hawk’, ‘Foxter & Max’, and ‘Mavka. The Forest Song’ are headlining the stand. The first two of them will be shown to an international professional audience on screenings. ‘Foxter & Max’ on November 8th at 11:00 and ‘The Rising Hawk’ on November 9th at 13:00.


Besides that, there is be a catalog of modern Ukrainian films presented on the stand. As a result of competitive selection, the following films were selected to it: ‘UKE’, ‘Crimea as It Was’, ‘Tangible Freedom’, ‘The Cacophony of Donbass’, ‘Stus’, ‘Rubizh. Operatsiia Hrubeshiv’, ‘Noble Tramps’, ‘Speech!ess’, ‘Skaz’. Also, an international audience can acquaint themselves with films like ‘Cherkasy’, ‘Maid-in-Law’ ‘The Dragon Spell’, ‘The Adventures of Saint Nicholas’, and ‘The Stolen Princess’.

The American Film Market (AFM) is a film industry event that takes place annually in early November in Santa Monica, California. The 2019 AFM will be held November 6-13. More than eight thousand people attend the eight-day event each year to make new contacts, sell, fund and buy movies.

Participants from more than 70 countries visit the movie market, including company executives, agents, filmmakers, distributors, festival directors, financiers, producers, writers, etc.

AFM is held by the Independent Film and Television Alliance (IFTA), a trade association representing the world's producers and distributors of independent cinema films and television programs.
