The working materials of the project will be exclusively shown to key distributors on the eve of MIPTV, the biggest content market in Europe.
Hide and Seek crime drama produced by FILM.UA Group defeated huge competition and made it to ten finalists of MIPDrama Buyers Summit featuring the most anticipated series projects at the market. Hide and Seek is the first Ukrainian series in history to be presented at this prestigious global competition of TV films.
During the selection, the jury evaluated originality of ideas, production quality and international potential of the projects. Together with Ukrainian Hide and Seek, the competition final welcomed series from Norway, Finland, New Zealand, UK, Italy, Spain and France commissioned by BBC One, Netflix and other well-known players of the content market.
“From the very beginning we believed in the uniqueness of our project and saw its international potential. Making it to the program of MIPDrama Buyers Summit is first and foremost recognition of our work, efforts spent and risks taken. Hide and Seek is a conceptual project combining detective and drama elements and raising important issues pertinent for any society. Besides, the project has special visual style. MIPDrama Buyers Summit is a special presentation of the best global new releases in series segment taking place right before the opening of annual MIPTV in Palais des Festivals in Cannes. At the summit, the first working materials of selected series will be exclusively shown to 450 leading global buyers.

Just a reminder: last week FILM.UA Group announced its cooperation with one of the biggest European media companies ZDF Enterprises, which became the global distributor of Hide and Seek crime drama outside CIS territories.
The Ukrainian premiere is planned for this autumn at ICTV.
Synopsis:
In a regular apartment father and daughter play hide-and-seek. The father is looking for the girl but cannot find her… Later a video appears on the internet where the gone girl is holding a sign with a mysterious combination of numbers. The child has been kidnapped, and this is just the first victim. Several more children go missing in the city.
Detectives Varta Naumova and Maksim Shumov set out on a seach. Varta is a new face in the department; she is reserved and aloof. Maksim is easy to talk to, but he only seems simple. Both characters experienced tragedies in the past which they haven’t managed to get over. To find the children, they have to deal with their demons first.
