Historical action The Rising Hawk from film director Akhtem Seitablayev, produced by Kinorob and Cinema Day with the support of Ukrainian State film Agency will be released on the 10th of October 2019.
This was informed by the team of the film during the opening of panel discussion “Ukrainian film in release. Win-Win strategy”, that took a place within 8-th KYIV MEDIA WEEK Forum. Besides, project producer Egor Olesov mentioned TV channel “Ukraine” as the main media-partner. The movie, that is based on the novel of Ivan Franko will be distributed by Ukrainian leading distribution company - Ukrainian Film Distribution.
“The Rising Hawk is very remarkable movie project that has all the chances to become a real breakthrough not only in terms of Ukrainian cinema, but also to show some good results at international market, - said Egor Olesov, project producer. – And we are glad that in honour of the projects success we united all the film market leaders of Ukraine: FILM.UA Group – the biggest studio in Ukraine, main TV-Chanel – “Ukraine”, that is also the main media-partner and broadcaster of the film, and of course, the biggest Ukrainian film distributor – Ukrainian Film Distribution.

Shooting of The Rising Hawk was held in Transcarpathia and in the Kyiv region this summer. The work of the film was attended by a large international team of actors. It was informed that team of The Rising Hawk, film produced by Kinorob and Cinema Day, supported by Ukrainian State Film Agency, joined colleagues from Hollywood. The movie, directed by Akhtem Seytablayev was codirected by John Wynn. Producers from American side are: Yuriy Karnovsky, Jeff Rice and Raja Collins. The whole creative and content work is made by Ukrainian part, and American partners are realising the communication between the cast and are promoting the movie at the States market.
After screenings in movies the film will be shown at “Ukraine” TV Chanel.

Synopsis: The year is 1241. The Mongol horde lead by cruel khan Burunda moves west, destroying everything in its path. Reaching the Carpathian mountains, the troops camp right below. However, at night several local hunters, the Berkut brothers, secretly enter the camp and free the hostages. Consumed with rage, the khan decides to take revenge and destroy the Carpathian settlements. A traitor amongst the locals tells the Mongols about a secret passage inside the mountains. Nevertheless, a small group of mountain hunters led by Zakhar Berkut has its plan to stop the enemy horde once and for all.
