The presentation of the project will take place on June 17 in the framework of the SIFF Co-Production Market
Pulse, a full-length sports drama produced by Kinorob, has been selected to participate in the international pitching of film projects during the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival (June 16-25). The presentation of the film will take place on June 17 in the framework of the SIFF Co-Production Market. A number of meetings of the project authors with potential international partners are planned after the pitching.
“We are grateful to our colleagues from Shanghai for evaluating our project so highly and we hope that the pitching will help us attract new partners for making this film. It is a spectacular, emotional and socially meaningful film based on ar true story of a Ukrainian athlete that will be easy to relate to and understand for a global audience. I also believe that this film, featuring a strong female lead character, has great commercial potential on the one hand, and is also no less promising for participation in international festivals on the other hand”, - comments the project’s producer Egor Olesov.
The plot of the sports drama "Pulse", which Kinorob is currently developing, is based on the real story of Oksana Boturchuk, a Ukrainian track and field athlete who became a Paralympic champion in 2008 and five-time silver and bronze winner at the Summer Paralympic Games of 2008, 2012, and 2016.
“This is a truly incredible, dramatic and emotional life story that we fell in love with from the very beginning. This is a story about people with great dreams and determination to succeed no matter what, against all the odds they face on their way to victory", highlights the director of the project, Serhiy Chebotarenko .
Moreover, from June 17 to 19, the Pulse project will be presented at FILM.UA Group's stand - F4 (Shanghai Exhibition Center), which will operate at the SIFF movie market.
