FILM.UA Group, Limelite and Film Brut signed an agreement on cooperation for the promotion campaign to The Wild Fields feature directed by Yaroslav Lodygin and based on Voroshilovgrad, a novel by Serhiy Zhadan. FILM.UA Group will be responsible for the development and implementation of promotion and marketing strategy for the film: communication with the media, production of the trailer, advertising videos and audio materials, development of templates for graphics and visual products, project promotion and advertising in digital segment, BTL activities, etc. The agreement was concluded in the framework of FILM.UA Group package proposal for projects supported by the Ukrainian State Film Agency.
Voroshilovgrad by Serhiy Zhadan is one of the most exciting and vital novels created in contemporary Ukraine. Our task was to gather an extra-powerful team to realize the potential of this novel onscreen. And we are delighted that the best experts of FILM.UA Group will lend their hand because they already have a successful experience in promoting Ukrainian projects such as Battle for Sevastopol, The Stronghold, and The Stolen Princess,” says film producer Volodymyr Yatsenko.

Just a reminder: The Wild Fields became the winner of the 9th competitive selection of projects at the Ukrainian State Film Agency, receiving support in the amount of 15.49 million UAH. Most filming took place in summer 2017 in Starobilsk (Lugansk region); some scenes were shot in Kyiv. Film premiere is planned for fall 2018. Film distributor in Ukraine is MMD.
In 2014, Serhiy Zhadan’s book Voroshilovgrad the film is based on became the best Ukrainian novel of the decade according to BBC Ukraine literary prize. The work also received Jan Michalski Foundation literary prize. The text was translated into five languages.
