The filming of Trust me, a four-episode melodrama, has come to an end. This miniseries is a joint project of FILM.UA studio and Ukraina TV channel, which will premiere the product.

The plot revolves around the protagonist’s story. She is in love and happy, but due to dramatic events the girl has to flee, change her name and hide for about ten years with her small son.

Ekaterina Ryabova, theactress playing the female lead, has told us a bit about her character.

“My Inna is deep and sincere. Yes, once she fell in love with a married man and started a relationship with him, which is not right. But her love is real, and this feeling helps her to live on and overcome difficulties. I even think that she should have come this challenging way to find a new life and its meaning and to meet her man.”

By the way, the main character of Aleksey was played by Dmitriy Pchela, a real-life husband of Ekaterina Ryabova.

When we found out about this we asked the actress to comment on this fact. “We learned at the last moment that we'd be filming together. We dreamed of working on the same set, and now this has come true. I observe Dima’s work with great interest, and he always supports me on the set…” said Katerina.

Katya and Dima have been together for several years and have a four-year-old daughter Sofiyka. While the parents are busy filming, grandma looks after the girl.

In Trust me Dmitriy plays a good man who is forced by life circumstances to work for bad guys. He is blackmailed, and the audience will be wondering until the last moment how the character is going to act.

The melodrama was filmed in Kyiv and the region; the process lasted for almost a month. You shouldn’t think that the series is about feelings alone: there is also a place for a detective plot twist and even some action.

There’s going to be everything: murder, threats, and kidnapping of Nikita, Inna’s son. For some scenes, stuntmen were even called to the set.

By the way, the work of Danya Lakoza, an 11-year-old boy, should be noted separately. His mom brought him to the set, and the boy worked side-by-side with his adult colleagues.

At the set, we hear the voice of director Irina Gromozda. During a short break in-between shooting we asked her how she imagines this story.

We are filming a story about hope and the way it changes reality. When you believe you meet people who help you to overcome the most complicated, dead-end situations. This is what happens to the protagonists. We have only a few characters, but they are remarkable, with dramatic life events behind them. They need faith and hope for the better, and naturally, they will attain this…”

Project editing will finish in July, and we hope that very soon the viewers will see Trust me on their TV screens.

Meanwhile, we can share several shots from the filming process...
