Ukrainian animated series ‘Tiki’ to be shown for the first time at the Ankara International Film Festival

On April 19-29 Ankara, will host the 29th Ankara International Film Festival. Thanks to fruitful efforts of Media Resources Management’s team and support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey the Ukrainian animated series ‘Tiki’ (Animagrad, FILM.UA Group) was selected for a screening programme of the festival and will be presented to potential partners and investors.

Ankara International Film Festival was established in 1988. It is one of the largest platforms bringing together film professionals from all over the world. Each year leading filmmakers, producers and potential investors come to the festival to find co-production partners.

Participation in the Ankara International Film Festival is not only an opportunity for Ukrainian project to expand geography of partners but it’s also the next step in strengthening cooperation with Turkish colleagues.

Let’s recall that on March 23 animation feature film of Animagrad studio ‘The Stolen Princess’ had a debut release in Turkish movie theatres. During the opening weekend, the debut full-length animation of Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group) raised $157,530 and 46,398 viewers. In terms of the opening weekend box office, the Ukrainian animation became the third among animation releases of Turkey in 2018.

The presentation of the project ‘Tiki’ will take place on April 22-23. The project was brought to the festival by Lyubov Krokhmalna – Head of international co-production at Media Resources Management (MRM).

‘Tiki’ is a series about adventures of a little girl Tiki and her animal friends – wise cat named Doc, a watchdog Sobak and a funny rabbit Zigi. They live on a small farm, which is regularly visited by a little bear Bo – a curious and mischievous forest dweller. He plays tricks and funny pranks on Tiki and her friends and the inhabitants of the farm respond in kind.
