Prototype Production and Ukrainian State Film Agency signed an agreement on state support for film production.
Prototype Production and Ukrainian State Film Agency signed an agreement on state support for production of a comedy feature film Crazy Wedding directed by Dmytro Malkov and produced by Yuriy Gorbunov. The total budget of the movie is 10 million 800 thousand hryvnias, and 3 million 240 thousand hryvnias of it will be the income from Ukrainian State Film Agency. Shootings will begin in the summer of 2018.
In addition, Prototype Production has entered into an agreement with FILM.UA Group on the provision of a complete package of services under special conditions for the production, promotion and distribution of the Crazy Wedding as a part of the package proposal by FILM.UA Group for projects supported by Ukrainian State Film Agency.
"This is the first project I am producing, and I can barely imagine how much work is ahead. But I really believe that the film will turn out to be joyful and successful, and the viewers will love it. The real comedy CrazyWedding is one of the winners of the tenth competitive selection of film projects. This is the debut project of a famous actor, showman and TV host Yuriy Gorbunov as a producer of feature films. The main roles will be performed by Anna Koshmal, Kateryna Osadcha, Maria Yefrosynina, Oleg Vinnyk, Ruslana Pysanka, Olga Sumska, Inna Prykhodko, Aram Arzumanyan, Garik Bircha, and many others... The performer of a main role, a French cardio surgeon Francois, will be announced soon.
Synopsys: Vasyl Seredyuk - head of the local Museum - having sent his daughter Katya to a french university, never expected the outcome: a month ago she informed him that she is getting married to a French heart surgeon François. Since then Vasyl’s proud statement spread throughout the whole region: “The Seredyuks have made their European choice!". How huge was his surprise when he saw that the cherished European future son-in-law is a Frenchman of African origin. Organizing a wedding so that it never happens seems like a brilliant idea. But when true love stands in the way, the success of such plan is not a given.
Shootings of a comedy about a multicultural marriage in conditions of "too sincere" patriotism will begin in the summer, and the premiere of Crazy Wedding is scheduled for the fall of 2018.
