Don’t miss new episodes from Tuesday to Friday at 12:50 PM
Tomorrow at 12:50 PM, TV channel Ukraine will start its premiere screenings of the new episodes of Doctor on Call, the first Ukrainian-language medical drama produced by FILM.UA, a favorite for millions of viewers.
“The start of Doctor on Call 3 is one of the first new season premieres on channel Ukraine. We are continuing the story about emergency doctors, because for more than a year it has been spurring genuine interest among our audience. During its time on air of the TV channel, the audience of Doctor on Call has exceeded 20 million people. For us it is also important that the first series fully in Ukrainian language gets equal attention over the whole country,” says Yulia Gatitulina, program director of channel Ukraine.
In season three, the series aficionados are offered 40 new stories from the life of emergency doctors who perform heroic feats every day by saving people’s lives. The doctors become not just witnesses but hostages of dramas and mysteries of their patients; they help them to get well as well as to make vital decisions.
“This time we stressed on detective plot lines associated with crimes and people getting to the hospital,” says Pavel Maschenko, one of the project directors. “The doctors will become investigators: investigating a disease as a sort of medical “crime” and looking into the incident that happened to the patient. The doctors will help to bring real criminals to light.”
Besides, the film authors devoted special attention to the personal stories of Semenivna the nurse, a character played by our brilliant actress Lilia Mayboroda, who was the right hand of doctor Mazur. “She has lots of funny and lyrical stories about her suitors. This is very enjoyable and touching for me because I believe that life and romance are not over after you turn 20 or 30,” says Yulia Mishchenko, project showrunner. “So we concocted several such stories for Semenivna where she is attractive, men fall in love with her, flirt and give her romantic presents. I hope the audience enjoys them as much as I do.”
The leading roles in the film are played by Ukrainian actors: Ruslan Sokolnik, Mykhaylo Romanov, Iryna Tkalenko, Nadiya Levchenko, Mykhaylo Zhonin, and others.
