On Monday, March 27 at 9 PM TV Channel Ukrainewill show the first two episodes of a criminal melodrama Two Lives produced by FILM.UA. A 12-episode premiere will tell about life, which puts forward challenges and gives a chance to reconsider one’s actions at the same time.
Synopsis:
Angela is a typical jeunesse doree. Her father, a successful businessman, gave her everything she ever wanted. But Angela is sure she has been deprived of the vital thing: her father’s love. She is suspicious of him to be accessory to her mother’s death, and she sees him as a menace to Dima, her fiancée. When Dima gets lost just before their marriage ceremony, Angela is sure her father has everything to do about it. She steals secret documents and gives them away to the police.
The girl is aware her father is never going to forgive her and asks for shelter under witness protection program. But as soon as she finds herself in a provincial town, with a new passport and with no means of support, Angela finds out, horrified, that there has never been any witness protection program at all. The girl has just been used in someone’s smart game, and it is definitely not her father who rules it all...
According to Sasha Kiriyenko, the film will be full of unexpected plot twists and extreme scenes.
“The audience will see many stunt scenes: a car’s explosion and fall from the bridge, fights in water, car windows broken. We had great help from stuntmen and pyrotechnicians,” Sasha Kirienko says. “However, it is worth noting that the main character Anzhela played by Elena Radevich didn’t have any doubles for stunts: she climbed from a high-up window to the balcony and used a rope to descend from a house terrace.”
Sergey Radchenko, a Ukrainian actor playing one of the leading roles, told us what attracted him in the project.
“The film is interesting because all key characters are reborn to a certain extent: somebody becomes better, and somebody comes to the dark side. It is a fight of good against evil,” says Sergey Radchenko. “My character Andrey is no exception: at first sight he is a good person, but then it turns out what really drives him. Still, I hope that in the end the audience will get where my character stands and sympathize with him.”
