The FILM.UA crew started a production of the popular series “DR. BABY DUST” sequel. The main leading role of the doctor Roman Shyrokov is played by the star of the 1st season, Ilya Noskov. The project’s premiere is planned to happen in Autumn 2017 on the channel “Ukraine”.
“The story of the season 3 is going to be held in the new innovative clinic, that was created and is led by the professor Klimov, former father-in-law of the main character. The professor has only one year left till the retirement and he has to deal with certain crucial problems and to find a protégé. But that is not the only reason why he offered Roman Shyrokov to work together. Klimov has to improve all his past mistakes and unbind all karma knots – says the creative director of the project, Yulia Mischenko. – And of course there will be many medical stories of two patients in each episode, the birth of a child will be presented in each of them. We’ll keep that kind, bright atmosphere of the first two seasons as the reason why the viewers loved this show and we’ll try to keep the high bar.”
Apart from the actor who plays the main leading role, Ilya Noskov, there is the same directors team who worked on the 1st season and they are Anton Goyda and Alexandr Parhomenko. “I was not surprised when I received a call with the offer to join the shooting of season 3, as much time has passed. But on the other hand the first two seasons were quite successful, they are broadcasted often and they still receive high ratings. And if the viewers like it, why not shooting a sequel? – the director, Anton Goyda tells us. – But it is going to be a completely different story which will take place on the new location.”
“DR.BABY DUST” is the one of the most successful franchises in our catalogue. It did not become boring for the viewers over the years. Both seasons are being bought regularly by channels, the series is shown yearly on various territories and each time it gets the highest ratings, which can be envied by other prime premieres. – notices the project’s producer, Iryna Kostyuk. – It is not less popular online as well. It is one of the most viewed and profitable shows on the FILM.UA Group’s official YouTube page. Thus, the question of the show’s sequel was just a matter of time for us.”
“In the new season women’s favorite doctor Shyrokov, will be pulled in to the female intrigues of the ambitious colleagues, the new crew raised the stakes for the main lead. The question of his former and present love interest will become an unexpected issue for him. So there are totally new circumstances for the old friend, the guardian angel of every future mother, doctor Shyrokov” – the project’s producer, Anna Eliseeva says.
As long as the main hero gets into new situations, the new characters appear as well. For instance, the head of gynecology department, Tatiana Sedelnikova (Kristina Kuzmina), cytogenetics team, whom Shyrokov offers to work on the science project and doctor Oleh Chernov (performed by charismatic Taras Kuzmin), who will become the main antagonist for Shyrokov. The only familiar character in the new season, apart from the main hero, becomes Shyrokov’s ex wife, Nina Klimova (Kristian Yaroshenko) and she will be involved into many dramatic conflicts.
The main part of shooting will take place in the FILM.UA studio hall where the massive modern clinic decorations were built. The team under the leadership of the art director Andrey Hrechishkin created more than 20 locations in the studio hall just over a month. “But even more was spent on the filling of the hall of the modern innovative clinic with surgeries, wards, laboratories, main heroes’ cabinets etc. and also we had to make a main character flat room, - says the executive producer of the project, Sergey Demidov. – The props made an enormous job, a part of the filling and other stuff that was broken or that they did not need was given to us by the representatives of real medical clinics. We fixed all of that and used for out needs. Some filling was bought and some was made specially for the shooting.”
The shooting will take place in Kyiv and will last till May 2017 and the premiere of the new 40 episodes of the how will be held in Autumn 2017 on the channel “Ukraine”
The action of the third season takes place in new modern clinic, which was founded by Professor Yury Klimov. Former father-in-law of Dr. Roman Shyrokov was only a year away from retirement, and during this time he needs to find a decent receiver. But this is not the main reason why the Professor invites Roman to work together again. Roman Shyrokov is the only one who can carry through innovative research and development on which the fate of the professor’s daughter, Nina, depends. However, the investors and employees of the clinic do not welcome a new professional. The deputy Professor, Dr. Oleg Chernov sees the threat in the face of Shyrokov and he is ready to do anything just to get rid of a competitor.
However, despite the intrigues and opposition of colleagues, in each episode Dr. Roman Shyrokov continues to perform miracles and helps the beautiful babies to be born.
