New York Film Academy – two and a half decades in the world cinema history

Next year New York Film Academy (NYFA) celebrates its 25-year birthday. Along the way a small film school in Tribeca has grown into an international network with offices in five US and Australian cities – New York, Los Angeles, Miami Beach, Sydney and the Gold Coast. in addition, educational programs and the Academy of projects carried out in France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Turkey, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Brazil and Qatar.

Among the teachers of the Academy there are more than 400 practicing professionals, including award winners in cinema and television.

Every year about 7.5 thousand of beginners and professional actors, directors, screenwriters, producers, cinematographers, animators, designers, artists, photographers and reporters from around the world receive diplomas and certificates of NYFA.

NYFA alumni produced such films as Birth of a Nation (2016) – Grand Jury Prize of Sundance Film Festival 2016, Fury (2014), which generated more than $200 million at global box office, Precious (2009) – "Oscar" winner for best screenplay. Writers who have graduated from the Academy worked on Men in Black 3 (2012), Bachelor TV show, Mexican version of Gossip Girl series.

In addition to the accreditation of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), allowing the Academy to graduate Bachelors and Masters of Arts, NYFA cooperates with governmental agencies in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, Spain, Macedonia, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Malaysia and China, providing Academy programme scholarships.

On December 2-4 FILM.UA Faculty supported by Ukrainian Motion Picture Association will organize workshops for producers and screenwriters, held by the teachers of New York Film Academy Lydia Cedrone and Paul Brown.
