On October 27-28, 2016 “Skill Bill Pro on developing ideas for series. Treatment and pitching” practical course is to take place. The course envisages participation with a project (to be selected from the applications sent in) and participation of the general audience (anyone interested).
There are two main objectives to the course:
- To help the screenwriters with correct drawing-up of a treatment. To teach presenting an idea so that it is comprehensible and “saleable”.
- To learn project pitching. To master project presentation skills both in written form and during a personal meeting with the producer group.
During the two-day course, the following stages are envisaged:

The course will take place in the form of practical work with the authors of preliminarily selected seven treatments. Therefore, the audience will consist of observers (without projects) and participants (with projects).
The candidates should send their treatments and short CVs to faculty@film.ua before 10 AM on October 24, 2016.
Terms of participation
We accept treatments no more than one page long, for the series of any genre and amount of episodes.
Treatment rules:
A treatment should include the following information:
Treatment volume – 1 page typed in Times New Roman font, size 12.
One author may send no more than three treatments.
Seven treatments are to be selected for the final. The selection results will be announced on October 26, 2016.
Cost of participation upon selection of treatment - 800 UAH
Cost of participation as observer – 150 UAH

Course experts
Olesya Lukyanenko is a creative producer of FILM.UA Group. Since 2010 – creative producer of FILM.UA Group. She has worked on the following films and series: The Hellene (Teletriumph prize in 2014 and 2015), Two Lives, Dad Dan, Butterflies (Teletriumph prize in 2013), House With Lilies, So Far So Close, and others. From 2008 till 2010 – director of Open Night film festival. From 2004 till 2009 she worked as a program editor for “Cinema Argument” (1+1 TV channel). Olesya graduated from Kyiv National Karpenko-Karyi University of Television, Cinema and Theatre majoring in film critique. |
