FILM.UA Faculty announces 2015/2016 scholarship recipients

Annually FILM.UA Faculty, with the support of FILM.UA Group, selects three students of Kyiv State I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, who will receive scholarships. This year, each scholarship amounts to 40 000 UAH.

Organizers of the contest say that the number of applications is growing every year. This year they have received more than 50 films from 32 students.

Members of the selection committee:

• Olesya Lukyanenko - creative producer at FILM.UA,
• Nikita Moiseev - composer,
• Aleksei Sakhaltuev - cinematographer, script consultant, editor,
• Volodymyr Voitenko - film critic, author and host of "Argument kino"
• Alla Prelovskaya - curator of FILM.UA Faculty, manager of international projects at "MRM"
• Anastasia Verlinskaya - Project Manager at FILM.UA Group.

As a result of voting 2015/2016 scholarship recipients are:

1. Margarita Kurbanova (cinematography)
2. Margarita Kuzmina (feature film directing)
3. Gayane Jaghinyan (documentary directing)

FILM.UA Faculty also offers expert support to scholars throughout the year, help in shooting of student projects, assistance in festival distribution, as well as free admission to the master classes within Skill Bill programme.
