FILM.UA Faculty master class in Lviv

November 9 in Lviv, at "Opera Passage", Gallery Victor Mirsky, general producer at the largest Ukrainian film production company FILM.UA, will hold a master class.

The master class will be held within educational initiative FILM.UA Faculty in partnership with the "MKK film service". Master class in Lviv is the first in the series of activities planned outside of Kiev, in the large cities of Ukraine. This workshop will describe the scope of the functioning of film and television industry in our country, and will answer the question - how the film industry is able to develop the economy of the city and its region.

The master class will be held in the format of Q&A session. Main topics for discussion:

  • Production of TV and film content in modern Ukraine;
  • Economics of production and preferences of the audience: how to reconcile the contraries;
  • How to find funds for the project;
  • How to talk to television channels;
  • Ukrainian content outside the country: does West need us?
  • Co-production with foreign partners.

About the expert:

Victor Mirsky is a co-owner and general producer at FILM.UA. Over the past 10 years, Victor Mirsky and FILM.UA produced more than 3,000 hours of television content, which was sold to over 100 territories including the US, Britain, France, China, Japan, Germany, and others. Victor is widely known as a leading Ukrainian TV producer and has won numerous international awards. He is a member of Ukrainian Television Academy (UTA), and also a member of the Advisory Board of UTA, which consists of 15 people - the most influential personalities in the Ukrainian TV market. Victor Mirsky filmography includes more than 50 films and TV series, many of which have become leaders not only on TV, but also received recognition by international experts.

This master class will be the first field evemt of FILM.UA Faculty. After all, today Lviv is one of the most promising cities in Ukraine for the development of film and television. Here FILM.UA shot some scenes for its projects "The Red Queen", "Okean Elzy. Backstage", "Inseparable" and others. Having a rich historical heritage and unique atmosphere that leaves no one indifferent, Lviv is also interesting as a center of cultural development and gives Ukraine leading professionals, including media industry. Faculty plans to expand the geography of master classes and courses for active involvement of experts from the regions to the production of Ukrainian content. In the future, we plan some field sessions in the most promising regions of the country.
