How to pitch your project. How to present your idea in the clearest way possible" within Talent Workshop at Molodist Film Festival.

About the expert:

Monica Franczak – script consultant, works with feature films. Completed her Master's Degree in Film Studies at the Institute of Visual Arts of Jagiellonian University in Cracow, however, she took a rather intricate path to arrive in the film industry. First ten years of Monika's professional life was devoted to media. First, she was a disc jockey and a reporter for radio RMF.FM, Poland's most popular radio broadcaster. Later, Monika was a news and page editor for Onet.pl, Poland's largest web portal. She returned to radio and hosted morning shows and became a Program Director at radio Złote Przeboje Wanda, part of the Agora SA media company.

Monika hung up her media hat in 2007 when she became a script reader, development associate and later Head of Development at Alvernia Studios, which at that time was the biggest private Polish film studio. She has had the privilege of working with several very talented scriptwriters and in 2013, and decided to focus on script doctoring and story consulting, in addition to developing her own projects. Monika is constanly developing her skills, learning from the best  (Script Factory, London, UK; Stephen Cleary's Genre Writing Workshop etc.)

«For text work, I use my author's method, a combination of  my multi-dimensional knowledge of film and experience in other fields. I find psychological tools very useful and I follow global trends closely; not just in the film industry. My approach to each text is very idiosyncratic. I pay a great deal of attention to the needs and intentions of the authors and producers. An excellent script is paramount to a film’s overall success», - comments Monika

Entry to master classes and workshops is free, but the number of seats is limited.
