Work continues on a melodrama "Moths". Shot material is already edited and now it's time for the special effects artists - they are engaged in drawing the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, flying helicopters and other spectacular scenes. The project will be completed in 2013. And now we would like to share an interesting story that happened during the shooting of the picture:
In the script there is an episode where Alka and Pasha come to the empty hairdresser. And Alka notices a photo of a girl with a hairstyle which she really likes. She decides to make a similar one.
We thought it would be wrong to use the photo of an unknown girl, or a girl with a classic hairstyle. We wanted the girl in the photo to be a significant figure of that time, and her hairstyle to match the fashion of that time. Creative team thought of the cult singer of 80s-90s – C.C. Catch, whose image defined the fashion of those years.
After approving the candidature of C.C. Catch, director had to find the pop diva and get her permission to use her photo in the film. But where? It turned out that there C.C. Catch has an official website, through which we have made a request, describing the plot of the film and the scene where the photo will be used. Then it seemed that it all was written to nowhere. But a few days later we got a reply with photos attached:
«It’s an honor that You want to use C.C. Catch photo for the movie».
It was a real success! A few days later we signed a contract with the singer and now we have her official permission to use her photo.
Now, with the permission of C.C. Catch our main character Alya Shirokova in one of the most important scenes in the movie looks like a naughty girl of the 80s.
