December 4 Skill Bill Pro will hold a workshop "TV shows and series formats: global trends, popular content, creation and protection of formats."

During the workshop we will try to answer the question, what is better - adaptation of a purchased format or creating your own. To do this, we'll analyze the global industry format trends, try to understand the success of products that conquered the world, estimate the relevance of international hits to the realities of our market and will try to predict trends for the future. In addition, during the workshop we'll also discuss the creation of a series format and rights protection. Another important issue that we'll talk about is if there is a place for Ukraine formats in the global industry?

During the workshop we'll discuss the following issues:

  • Terminology and categorization. What is scripted and non-scripted formats. When the product becomes a format. What is the "series bible".
  • Global industry format trends. Trailer screening of the most popular and new TV show and series formats.
  • Series format as todays trend. Pros and cons.
  • Analysis of "format travel routes", what geography tells us.
  • Formats in Ukraine. The origin of Ukrainian format industry is happening right now.
  • What you need to know to create a format and how to sell it later. Format bible and its basic elements.
  • Protecting formats or "ideas are in the air".
