1. Is FILM.UA interested in feature films or it preferrs serial films? Thank you

Of course we're interested. We've alreade made our first steps in this direction. This year we released Single by the contract, an incredibly sweet movie, shot here in Kiev, and it seems to me, with a special love for the city. Next year we plan to release a documentary biopic about Ukrainian rock band "Okean Elzy" and a war drama "Battle for Sevastopol" about a legendary sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko. I am pleased for my colleagues that they were able to reach the big screen.

If we talk about the preferences of the studio in general, certainly it is TV movies. That's how we earn our bread. The studio has been successfully working in this direction, and, I think, understands how to develop it further, in various genres and forms.

2. Is FILM.UA interested in action movies or 1-episode historical pictures?

In my opinion action is good for a feature film. If we talk about TV serial film then it should be in adventure genre. And why you need to shoot a 1-episode historical drama? It's HISTORICAL, there can be so many ideas to develop.

3. Is there any chance that you run the show/movie in the Ukrainian language?

There is a chance. But this question you should address to our television. Are Ukrainian TV channels ready to order film (TV series) in Ukrainian? We will produce them with pleasure. I will say that this year's at co-production projects pitching, which took place within «KIEV MEDIA WEEK», we have announced our intention to shoot a Polish-Ukrainian film about the September events during the Second World War. Action takes place in Lviv, in September 1939, when it was a Polish city. In the film, there are two main characters: he is Pole, born in Lviv, she is an ethnic Ukrainian living in the Carpathian village in Poland. This is the story of their uneasy relationship. And we expect that if we start the production, it will be in two languages - Polish and Ukrainian.
