September 25, 2014 at FILM.UA Faculty Vladimir Issat, creative producer FILM.UA Group, held the first lecture in the course of Skill Bill Pro "Film producer: from the choice of the script to the final credits".
As part of his speech, Mr. Issat spoke about three types of product creation from the standpoint of the script:
1) adaptation of a foreign serial format,
2) creating a script based on one's own ideas,
3) creating a film/series on a ready-made script.
Each example was supported by case studies. Participants learned the stories of such projects as "Lawless Heart", "The Trap", "Dr. Baby Dust", "Dr. Baby Dust - 2", "Light o'love".
The speaker also talked about how he chooses the script, works with the authors, the difficulty of Ukrainian cinema education, how the post of creative producer appeared in Ukraine, what is a "format bible" and why it is needed, and much more.
Students asked many questions, but the time was limited.
