The events will take place at the time after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion at the Research Centre for Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine in Kyiv. This is the centre where pregnant women from all over Ukraine with pathologies and complications are referred for medical care. The main character, a talented obstetrician and gynaecologist Mykhailo Honchar, who was forced to move from Sievierodonetsk to Kyiv, starts working here. The hospital where Mykhailo run the maternity ward as well as his house were destroyed by Russian shelling. After being injured, he had to start a new life in Kyiv with his daughter, whom he is raising alone. When he starts a new job, he unwittingly crosses the path of an ambitious deputy manager and eventually becomes embroiled in intrigue.
