The district physician Lyudmila stays at service around the clock, day of her painted by the minute. Early in the morning she is in a hurry at calls, and still have time to visit the lonely and elderly patients: some she measures the pressure, someone will bring food, and someone she will just listen to. At home, she has the loving husband and daughter. And if of a sudden they need help, so there is Sveta, the neighbor, who is always ready to help out the family of Korneev... Betrayal of the closest people - spouse and friends - were for Ludmila as a bolt from the blue. But she finds the strength to go on...
