Masha Voznitskaya is a beautiful woman who has it all: a luxurious house, a rich husband, and ideal looks. However, Masha is unhappy – she dreams to have a baby but her husband Boris is constantly at work. Desperate times call for desperate measures: Masha gathers her courage and participates in Wife Exchange, a reality show where she will switch homes for a week with a woman whose status and material standing are lower than hers. This is how Masha finds herself in the Shevelyov family met by a kind-hearted car mechanic Sasha and his shy daughter Anya.
Gradually she warms up to Sasha and Anya, helping Anya to win the attention of a boy she likes and Sasha to believe in himself. The closer the end of reality show is, the less Masha is willing to leave her new “reality family”.
The second show participant Lyuba Shevelyova charms Boris, Masha’s husband, and it turns out she has grand plans for this man…
