From Dagobert to Louis Philippe the 1st, more than sixty Kings built France. 30 of them, some of the most emblematic were chosen to illustrate this prestigious saga. Historical rigor presides over the script-writing of these uncommon lives. Paintings, engravings, statue and places of memory are the only images they have left us.
To tell the story of the Kings and the story of France, each film is constructed around the following : interviews of renowned historians, filmed reenactments, 3D animation technics of the most beautiful paintings illustrating the history of France. Each of the 40 episodes recounts a King’s life, played by actors on historical stages.
