This week, Cannes hosted MIPCOM, a major European market of TV content.

FILM.UA Group traditionally presented its projects at own stand #R7.L12. Our headliners of fall/winter season were the serial version of The Stronghold (Kinorob), the long-awaited third season of The Sniffer, series in final production stage Finding Hope and Contact, and animated film in production The Stolen Princess (Animagrad).

Besides, animated series Mom Hurries Home (Glowberry) was presented at the opening of MIP Junior (October 14) in the framework of “Binge Watching Session: Kids Success Across the Globe” presentation as one of the most promising projects in pre-school content.

At the market, negotiations on selling The Sniffer series to Slovakia for broadcasting on Markiza TV channel were finalized, as well as the negotiations on selling the same series to Hungary for RTL Klub broadcaster; the rights have been sold for all three seasons. Negotiations with a range of European companies on different territories are still underway.

“The Sniffer remains our bestseller among series content. Many buyers followed project news during production of the third season; English-speaking users started messaging the official page of The Sniffer on Facebook – everyone kept asking when the third season comes out and if Netflix publishes it. We are happy to inform that the third season of The Sniffer with English subtitles will come out on Netflix this year,” says Igor Storchak, CEO Distribution, FILM.UA Group.

Besides, during the market FILM.UA Group jointly with IM Global announced their signing of cooperation agreement for production and distribution of unscripted content for the global market. IM Global is a joint venture of TMP and Tencent, a studio providing full-cycle television services in developing, financing, producing and distributing high-quality scripted and unscripted content for domestic and international markets.

Participants of FILM.UA Group delegation at MIPCOM comment on special interest towards our animation projects: features The Stolen Princess and Mavka. The Forest Song (Animagrad), as well as animated series Mom Hurries Home. Our formats are also successful: Wife on the Drive spurs stable interest among buyers, and Starrride project for which we made the pilot jointly with Story Lab Ukraine and presented it in September at Kyiv Media Week, was positively rated by MIPCOM audience as well.
