Young lovers Hanna and Yurko come to visit Hanna's parents in a small village in the summer and become involved in supernatural events.A young witch,Ivanka,nicknamed Morena by the villagers,has her eye on Yurko during the night of Ivan Kupala.The ancient Kupala rituals and traditions shown at the beginning of the film serve as an astral portal.During the celebration, the witch uses her magic to tie Hanna to herself with a mystical bond to keep Yurko alive.Yurko and Hanna have to deal with the mystical challenges of fate.They overcome all obstacles and cut down the roof of the witch's house. Morena's soul finally leaves this world.
