"New Channel" together with FILM.UA shoot the first Ukrainian youth romantic comedy "Single under the contract". This is the debut feature film for the director Evgeny Matvienko and cameraman Vladimir Ivanov. Both are better known for their work in short films. One of Ivanov's works "Cross" was even nominated for the "Palme d'Or" at the Cannes Film Festival. "Single under the contract" - a love story between a popular leader of the "Heart of the City" and the ordinary girl. According to the script relationship take an unexpected turn and threaten to end up in a disaster. It is known that the premiere will take place in 2014. In Kiev the shooting will last until the end of August. The working period is held in a common Kiev apartment, metropolitan parks and the airport "Borispol".
The main role of musician Slava plays a Polish actor Vaclav Verkhola. His beloved Lily is played by an actress Olga Lerman.
- My mother is Russian - said Vaclav Verkhola. - She was the one who translated for me the first scenes, and then put the pronunciation. In Kiev I work with a translator, and communicate with the actors in a mixture of English, Polish and Ukrainian. I hope that during the shooting I will have a great opportunity to learn your beautiful and melodic language.
Other roles are mainly played by Ukrainian artists. Edik the bodyguard is played by the holder of "The Strongest Man in the World" title Vasily Virastuk. "Single under the contract" is his second film. Last year, he starred in the film "Strong Ivan".
- I feel free on the set - admitted Vasily Virastuk. - Sometimes I warmed to the role of the bodyguard so much, adding steel in my voice that even the director asked me to slow down, because that turned out very scary.
To the set Virastuk came as a real rock star, on a bike with loud music. Especially for the shooting make-up artists have painted a tattoo on Vasily's neck. Although the athlete has its own - a Cossack on the forearm. Stylists also made costumes for the Ukrainian hero. The most difficult for designers were concert outfits of the leader of the musical group. They had to look for Rocker attributes in branded music stores in Western Europe.
Several scenes involve famous people. The rapper Serega will play a producer, Olga Polyakova - fashion model, and Alan Badoev - himself, music video director. According to the authors, he will create a mobile advertising "Bananofon" of a not very good quality.
- I always wanted to play in a movie - admitted Alan Badoev. - This film is my next adventure. Also a great opportunity to try myself in different activity: director and actor at the same time. I am in no typical role for myself, shooting low-quality ads. We have to put up with stupid customers and not a very good script. Thank God, in my real life, I try to avoid such situations.
