At the beginning of the summer, I told you that the company FILM.UA with the "New Channel" are producing a romantic comedy "Single under the contract". So I continue: yesterday the shooting started, its creators have broken the traditional plate, and I found out some details about the project.
The picture is oriented at a younger audience, so the team was appropriately selected: starring young actors Olga Lerman (Russia) and Vaclav Verkhol (Poland).

Director of the project is Eugene Matvienko, debuting in a feature film. Cameraman is Vladimir Ivanov, who directed the short film "Cross", which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011. General producers are Igor Storchak and Vladimir Lokotko, producers - Olga Zadorozhnaja and Irina Petrikey, Executive Producer - Andrei Rizvanyuk.
A few words about the plot: the main character of the film will be a rising star Slava Lebedev, frontman of the rock band "Heart of the City" and the heroine - a young Lily Fialko, who falls in love with a musician, unaware of his fame. The problem lies in the fact that under the contract Slava can’t get married or date a girl not to destroy his stage persona and lose fans.
Last name of the heroine surprised me. So I asked about it one of the film's general producer Igor Storchak:
- Lily was not made Dasha Fialko’s relative on purpose. Scriptwriter just gave the heroine "flower" name Fialkina, which seemed to me a bit dollish, and I asked to change it. In general, everything was an accident, but I like, Dasha has a beautiful surname.
- And she knows?
- Yes, I wrote to her about it, we laughed.
Since the movie will be about the musician, the creators promise a rich soundtrack, which will be written by young Ukrainian bands. "Single under the contract” will be shot in Kiev by the end of August. The film will premiere on "New Channel" in the spring, 2014.
