April 8-11, 2013, one of the top television and media technology sector trade shows MIPTV was held in Cannes. Traditionally, the market was visited by FILM.UA Distribution, which represents the interests of FILM.UA Group in international markets and exhibitions. During the market FILM.UA Distribution has concluded a selling agreement with UK on a series of films. Director of FILM.UA Distribution Igor Storchak shared his impressions of the international forum with Media Business.

- How this year Film Market differes from the previous one? Can you identify any trends?

- From the point of sales process market has been slower than the previous one. I believe that the reason is seasonal variations: autumn markets are always more effective. Nevertheless, we are quite pleased with the results.

- How do you assess the participation of the Ukrainian companies in MIPTV?

- Ukraine was represented adequately. For example, new projects of FILM.UA Group attracted interest of both "far abroad" partners ("The Great Dreamers", "Inseperable") and colleagues from the former Soviet Union ("The Trap", "The House with lilies", "Kasym")

-What do you remember most about MIPTV?

- I can say that among the delegations that represent the Russian-speaking world, the most notable event was the reshuffle of top managers of "Inter", "1 +1" and TRC Ukraine. There were lots of talks about it. Even a joke was born: "The channel does not matter".

Some companies boycotted the market. For example, one of the biggest studios SONY pais for the booth - and did not come. This is a kind of psychological pressure!
