Docudramas «Jules Verne. A life long journey» and «Free energy of Tesla» (co-produced by Ukrainian companies FILM.UA and Signal Red) were short-listed for an international festival WorldFestHouston, which will take place April 12-21 in Houston, USA. The projects aim to win one of the four awards: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Results will be announced April 20 during the ceremony.
In 2012 project «The Bomber» (produced by FILM.UA and «Shpil») received Special Jury Remi Award in the category “mini-series”. Аnd «Tsiolkovsky’s worlds of miracle» (co-produced by FILM.UA and Signal Red) received Platinum Remi Award in the category “documentary”.
Founded in 1961 WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. It evolved into a competitive International Film Festival in April. WorldFest offers competition in TV Production, Documentary, Corporate & Business Films, Student & Experimental, TV Commercials, Film & Video Production, Music Videos, New Media (Interactive & Web Sites) and unproduced Screenplays.
