Charismatic Dr Rodionov, the Kvitko couple, new characters, love, intrigues and twisted stories – FILM.UA Group started filming the new, fifth season of Dr Babydust medical drama
Just like before, the action is set in a private gynecological clinic. We’ll see our favorite characters and meet new ones, ob-gyns will be saving infants and their moms right in front of our eyes as well as reconcile some couples. Love and family values will again become the theme of the season.
“The new season of Dr Babydust will surprise its fans. It is very dynamic, with lots of unexpected turns,” said Yulia Mischenko, project showrunner, describing the new season.
Oleksandr Rodionov, an attractive and reliable ob-gyn, is on call again. In the end of the previous season, the heart of our favorite doctor was broken, and in the new episodes we’ll find out whether Natalya Tymchenko comes back to him.
PetroRykov, an actor playing the lead role, told about the future fate of his character:
“Thisseasonpromisestobevery romantic and dynamic. Rodionov might surprise you a bit but I am asking you to go easy on him – he will face a woman’s treachery but will be able to resist. The memories about the past will make him worry and radically change his life. I already know what this blast from the past is about and what it will bring, and I promise that the woman who takes her place in Oleksandr’s heart won’t let him down!”
New employees will appear in the clinic: a treacherous career climber and investor Igor Gordeyev and beautiful Rita Andriyivna, new head of reproductive medicine department, who will disrupt his plans. She is convinced that a doctor’s mission is to save, not to count. But with time Gordeyev will be infatuated with Rita… We’ll find out soon enough what comes out of it.
Another double-edged character to appear in new episodes is charming administrator Karina. Her attention will be devoted to Dr Rodionov. But it looks like the girl is not interested in feelings and has her own complicated game to play. For now it is not clear what this game is about.
The main intrigue of the season is another mysterious woman, a real femme fatale Olga Viktorivna Olkhovska played by a well-known actress Kateryna Tyshkevych. She will have great influence not just on the work of the clinic but also on the fate of a lead character. Who is it going to be? Now is not yet the time to tell.
Kateryna Tyshkevych tells about her character:
“Olga is full of controversies: sensitive and tender, she feels for each patient but during the surgery she behaves like an iron lady – concentrated, severe and self-confident. On top of that, she is very unhappy in her personal life. What is the secret that she is hiding, will she be accepted in the clinic, how her fate is going to come out, which man will fight for her heart – we have 40 episodes of meetings and partings, discoveries, disappointments and confessions ahead of us. Will she be happy? Watch Dr Babydust 5!”
The audience will also meet the Kvitko family again, energetic Vita Igorevna and ingenious Lev Borysovich, who has lots of interesting and unexpected things happening in their lives.
