Aggressive sound, dynamic beat and fast-paced rapping deliver an energy charge from the very first seconds. GO!, a new song from Ukrainian rapper, has become an official soundtrack to Pulse sports drama
The music to the song was written by Vadym Altukhov (Teejay) and the lyrics by the performer herself. “Sometimes life trips you. It seems that everything is against you and contrary to the rules. And those who you expect support from turn their backs on you. You want to give up…
Вut at that time you gain an understanding that you have only yourself and it is for you to create your own rules, play the way you want and do what you like.
The character’s story has inspired me a lot. Persevering towards your goal and remaining human is a great plot, a great example, a great real story. It is an honor for me to write about this and be a part of this,” said Alyona Alyona, singer.
GO! teaches you not to bear a grudge against your destiny, never to give up and follow your own way – the same messages are embodied in the character and actions of Oksana, protagonist in Pulse sports drama.
“Alyona Alyona could have become a protagonist in a feature herself. Kindergarten teacher from a small town writes rap and due to her unconventional lyrics, appearance and performance finally conquers the music Olympus. In this sense she is very similar to Oksana, our film protagonist. And such parallel only strengthens the message Alyona puts into this track,” said Sergiy Chebotarenko, film director.
“There probably isn’t a person in the whole world who managed to avoid situations and events that seem unsurmountable. Sometimes such situations accumulate and in the end become a way of life. It is especially true for teenagers and young people who live in stress because they are different from others. When their peers don’t accept them and parents don’t understand.
“Pulse teaches to fight for your spot in this world, to counter obstacles, “to break the past, to strike out the code.” That is why, in our opinion, Alyona Alyona is an ideal voice for expressing these ideas; first, she is their vivid embodiment and secondly, she speaks to the young people in their language,” says Egor Olesov, film producer.
In the music video you can see new shots from Pulse sports drama. Recently the first official trailer was released; its soundtrack is also a song by Alyona Alyona Yakby ya bula ne ya (If I Were Not Myself). You can watch the trailer at this link.
It is known that Yevhen Filatov (The Maneken) is the person responsible for Pulse OST. For Yevhen Pulse is the second big experience in feature films, with the previous one being his work for Maid-in-Law fantasy romance feature.
