FILM.UA hosted a two-day session of Young SDG Innovators under the aegis of UN Global Compact

On February 27 and 28, 2020 FILM.UA Group as a member of UN Global Compact hosted one of five two-day sessions in the framework of Young SDG Innovators training program.

Just a reminder: in spring 2019 FILM.UA Group joined UN Global Compact. This initiative is aimed at strengthening social responsibility among entrepreneurs, drawing attention to globalization and economy reconstruction and stabilization. Besides, UN Global Compact broadcasts 10 principles including those about human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

In October 2019 Young SDG Innovators program started, and FILM.UA Group also joined in. The task of the program is to revise traditional business models and to search for new entrepreneurship opportunities. In this program FILM.UA Group along with representatives of other companies participating in UN Global Compact are trained for ten months with leading global and Ukrainian experts as mentors.

As a result each team has to create and present its business project which will become an innovative and efficient business model for the company, helping to implement its strategy and advance Sustainable Development Goals. In May ten companies participating in the program will defend their projects at the final pitching session in Ukraine. And in summer UN Global Compact provides an opportunity to present the projects at big international summit in New York.

Along with FILM.UA Group, other participants of Young SDG Innovators are DTEK, Energoatom, Ernst & Young Global Limited, PUMB, Alpha Bank, EPAM, Farmak, Astarta, and Yes Straws.

In total, during these two days except the abovementioned trainings from leading Ukrainian and global experts the participants were treated to a guided tour over FILM.UA studio, vegan lunches from Tarelka 22, a studio café, and traditional celebration of Maslyana at the Film Village set.

The main goal of FILM.UA Group as a member of UN Global Compact is general welfare both in production and in product distribution networks, respect, safety, quality and integrity for all employees, from recruitment to product marketing.
