On February 20th, the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, and European Film Market – one of the most famous film markets in the world, have begun.

FILM.UA Group, as usual, introduced its projects on its own stand. This year’s headliners are ‘Felix Austria’ aka ‘Maid-in-law’ love story, and ‘The Rising Hawk’ historical action film. Its screenings will take place on February 23rd. Also, at our stand, ‘Pulse’ sports drama and ’Mavka. The Forest Song’ animated film are represented.

FILM.UA Group Distribution has already closed the first deals! ‘The Rising Hawk’ historical action film by Kinorob studio was sold to the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), where it will be distributed by Volga company, and to Germany, and German-speaking European countries. Rights in this territory were acquired by the Capelight Pictures. This company, among others, was responsible for bringing this year’s Oscar winner, ‘Parasite’, to the German audience.

Also, Esen Elektronik company had purchased theatrical rights in ‘The Rising Hawk’ historical action film, and ‘Foxter and Max’ fantasy adventure film by PRONTO FILM for Turkey.

I consider it to be a good start, – Igor Storchak, the CEO of FILM.UA Distribution comments on the deals. – FILM.UA Group is well known on the international film markets, because we always bring new and interesting projects, tell about them, and receive a lot of positive feedback. As a continuance, our films venture to new countries. This trend is very positive, and we work to improve it yet!”

Also, the contract for the rights to ‘The Rising Hawk’ in Spain was signed with Flins & Piniculas company last year. And recently the rights in ‘Felix Austria’ aka ‘Maid-in-law’, a love story film that entered the Ukrainian box office just a month ago, were sold in Poland.
